Sasha Agranov (Saint Petersburg, 1977) moved to Israel with his family in 1979. He studied modern violoncello with Hilel Zori at the Music Academy of Tel Aviv. In 1999 he began his baroque cello studies with Jaap Ter Linden at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He graduated in 2004. He has played in the Early Music Festival of Brezice, the Music Festival of San Sebastián and with the legendary Patti Smith. He is currently a member of the famous duo Selva de Mar and Piccola Orchestra Gagarin. He is a co-founder of the CD label acoustiCDelicatessen. He loves circus, hummus, cooking and walking on stilts.
